An investigation is underway in Red Bluff, California after a police officer shot two dogs who were reportedly running loose in a residential neighborhood. The Saint Bernards were owned by a local family who are calling the shooting a “horrific killing,” and a “gross injustice” on Facebook. Police say the officer appears to have been acting in self-defense.

When a young man named Connor woke up last Thursday morning, he had no idea he was about to be a lifeline for two lab mixes, Thelma and Hercules, stuck in the oncoming path of Hurricane Harvey.

Youngblood all of a sudden heard firefighters outside their house.  She raced out and asked them for help. "We tried bringing the dogs but the current was too strong. We had to walk with the firefighters in shoulder high water, they didn't have a boat," said Youngblood. "They told us bringing the dogs back inside was the best thing to do." 

Pure joy is what Anai Montero felt the moment she was reunited with her Boston terrier, Rex, after 12 days of agony. This incredible reunion is the result of a dog with a will to stay alive, and an owner who refused to stop searching for him. 

“She’s having her babies now!” Those words, yelled by an animal shelter worker, are what started quite an adventure for a pregnant husky and a rescue volunteer, Jennifer Taylor.

Ron needed a miracle. And he got one! “It’s almost as though he can’t believe how much yummy food he can eat, or how many treats his foster mommy gives to him, or how soft and snuggly a dog bed can be.”
